SUSUMA SANE - What the Spirit has to say

Susuma begins its human experience with the first breath and ends with its last breath.

Susuma is a Ga-Adangme word for Spirit. Susuma, or spirit, originates as a spark from a source fire which is Love. Being made from Love is the original purity of Susuma which makes up its essence. We spring from that ALL source into our own vibration of existence. Our Susuma is the keeper of our experience and our connection to the centre of everything that is LOVE.

Our Susuma is conscious to our human experience and it is the source of everything we do. It is from Susuma that we get all our thoughts, what we construct in our thoughts informs our human experience and which forms our Susuma’s Sane (Susuma’s Story). We all have perceptions of ourselves and that is what forms our human experience. We are all here as a collection of Susumae (spirits), sharing a human experience, interactions are a necessity for the Susuma’s Sane. The Susuma communicates in its own language which is translated as our emotions, but it is limited to the human experience.

With Susuma Sane, Ofoe Amegavie explores the language of the spirit, through emotions. Emotions convey what the spirit wants to naturally communicate. Communication forms a key component of the human experience. Our ability to communicate with each other is what concludes the task the spirit has to complete in this life form. From mental constructs, humans are able to manifest intentions and thoughts in the physical.

Susuma Sane is an ongoing project, that transcends all of Ofoe’s work.
